ESIF Growth and Expansion Loans

„ESIF Growth and Expansion Loansis a financial instrument funded by European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) and business banks, at 50:50 percent, and from which new long-term investments of small and medium-sized enterprises are funded.

Investment loans at low interest rates and without regular fees that are charged on the occasion of loan approval and disbursement are approved via Erste & Steiermärkische Bank d.d., Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. and Zagrebačka banka d.d.

Basic conditions of ESIF loans for growth and development:

  1. Loan Purpose: Exclusively for new investments (refinancing of existing loans is not possible)
  2. Credit Currency: part of the loan from the ESIF source can be in HRK or HRK with the EUR currency clause, while part of the loan from the commercial bank is HRK with the EUR currency clause.
  3. Loan amount: from EUR 100,000 to EUR 3,000,000 in HRK equivalent at the central rate of the CNB on the day of the conclusion of the contract (for the tourism sector the highest loan amount is EUR 10,000,000)
  4. Interest rate: on part of ESIF loan 0% per annum and on part of the loan from the funds of the commercial bank in accordance with its business decision.
  5. Repayment period: up to 144 months (12 years), including a grace period of up to 24 months (for the tourism sector, where the investment study indicates the need for a longer maturity and grace period, repayment may be considered up to 204 months (17 years) and a grace period of up to 48 months). It is not possible to change the loan repayment period.
  6. Repayment method: in equal instalments, annuities or one-off.

Only investments that have not commenced before the decision on the loan are eligible and whose implementation will result in an increase in the number of employees (at least one new employee), which must be adequately explained and documented in the investment study / documentation.
